About Me

I love photography!  Photographing weddings is my favorite . . . I guess because I'm a romantic. Every wedding I shoot is as if for the first time - it never gets old. How can one not be touched at witnessing and recording the ultimate expression of love and commitment between two people! My goal is to capture the joy, the excitement, the love . . . in a free flowing style - never obtrusive or contrived . . . and to produce images that display flair, an eye for detail, an artistic sensibility and tell a story.

Of course because I love people and their stories, I love providing a visual interpretation of them. As well as weddings, I also photograph seniors, families, pets - anything involving people!   I also do photo restoration, freelance work, and fine art photography. I have won awards for several of my images.  At the present I cover all of San Luis Obispo County and beyond.

I live in Atascadero, Ca., located on the beautiful Central Coast of California, with my husband Rex, his dog Zoe, and my boston terrier Bella.

Vision is the art of seeing what is invisible to others.

Will and Amanda

Here are some preliminary images from their special day last Saturday. I'm backed up with other projects, but wanted to put a few out there anyways.  What a sweet, fun couple. People will be talking about their first dance to their grandchildren!

Jesse and Heidi Leader . . . some wedding shots

Here are a few shots from the ceremony. Sarah, the sister-in-law and I volunteered to shoot the wedding - I had the role of second shooter and didn't get many pics of the bride and groom (Sarah did and they came out great!)

Later to come . . . the reception . . .

Back to my road trip . . .

I've got a lot of projects going on, but last night I took some time and delved back into my road trip folder just for fun . . .

We hit a lot of places on our way from the Central Coast of Calif. to Austin, Tx. It was sort of a matter of so little time, so many photographs waiting to happen. So shooting was a matter of hit or miss, with lots of variety from buildings to beer bottles and whatever fell in between . . .

After Sedona and Prescott, we thought we'd find some photo ops around Tucson . . . but not much luck. But as we were waiting for Linda to find some brochures, I looked up and spotted a building that captured my attention. Kind of makes your eyes wiggle . . .

Before we headed out of town we made a stop at a mission church. The lighting wasn't right for exterior shots, but I did get an interesting shot of the interior.

We headed for Las Cruces, N.M. and heard about an old part of town known as Mesilla. So we got up before the crack of down to try and get some good early morning light. It was freezing collllllld, but I had a great time wandering around the little streets and running into everything from a picturesque chapel to a beer bottle . . .

Little leftovers the morning after the night before . . .

This little village consists of really old buildings that are now being used for shops, restaurants and such. I think this was a clothing store.

Now this I call a cactus garden!!

Jesse and Heidi . . . groom and smen . . . before the ceremony . . .

My dear friends, Brian and Linda Leader just hosted the wedding ceremony of their son Jesse. I was more than happy to help photograph Jesse and Heidi's special day, starting with the groom and his friends (including dad and bro).  We all met at the Carlton Hotel in downtown Atascadero before heading over to the Leader home for the ceremony.
